Tarestack is a data-preparation tool, not compliance or legal advice. You are responsible for determining your EPR obligations and for the accuracy of what you submit to Defra/the environmental regulators.

Tarestack turns the packaging information you enter and the orders in your WooCommerce store into totals and, with Tarestack Pro, into a file in the format GOV.UK specifies. It does not decide whether you are an obligated producer, whether you are a small or large producer, which packaging counts as yours, how it should be classified, or what you should report. Those are your decisions, and you should take professional advice if you are unsure.

The validator checks a file against the published file specification. Passing it does not mean your figures are right or complete, or that the Report packaging data service will accept the file, and it is not a substitute for checking your data.
